“We are so grateful our daughter had Ms. Westrich as a teacher. Our daughter always had an interest in science, but Ms. Westrich was a part of her finding a love of science! She stands by her word, is so supportive of her students, and so great at meeting her students where they are. Not to mention, she could be one of the funniest people we know.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you running for School Board?

After more than 20 years in the classroom, raising my twins in Duval County, and investing in our community as a homeowner, I have seen both the strengths of our schools and the challenges they face. I am running for School Board because I believe every family deserves a great public school option, every teacher deserves the support and respect needed to succeed, and every taxpayer deserves confidence that education dollars are being spent wisely. I want to bring a classroom perspective and a community-focused approach to strengthening our public schools.

As a School Board Member, what are your top priorities?

My top priorities are supporting and retaining great teachers, strengthening public schools through meaningful community engagement, and ensuring transparent, responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.

Strong schools depend on strong educators. I will advocate for competitive compensation, sustainable working conditions, and policies that help us retain excellent teachers. I will ensure every family feels heard and represented as we work together to make our public schools a great choice for students. I will make sure education dollars are used effectively to support students and classrooms, giving taxpayers the transparency and accountability they deserve.

How will you engage families and the community?

Community engagement should be more than a public comment period at a board meeting. As a School Board member, I will host workshops throughout District 2 where families, educators, students, and community members can share concerns, ask questions, and help shape solutions. My goal is to create a consistent, accessible way for people to be heard and to ensure that district decisions reflect the voices of the communities they impact.

How can I learn more about you and help with your campaign?
